Hello,

We are very pleased to announce the release of Komodo IDE/Edit 7.0.0,
which you can download here:

Be sure to check out the updated Komodo 7 web pages and see the great
deals to be had on purchasing and upgrading to Komodo IDE 7:

Here is a summary of the latest and greatest feature additions to Komodo
IDE/Edit 7:

    * *Code Collaboration (IDE)*
      <http://www.activestate.com/komodo-ide/features#collaboration>
      With the collaboration feature you'll be able to share a document
      with colleagues and friends, allowing multiple users to view and
      edit the document at the same time! The collaboration feature is
      great for team development, such as when performing code reviews,
      pair programming and when working remotely.

    * *Komodo Synchronization (IDE)
      <http://www.activestate.com/komodo-ide/features#sync>
      *The Komodo Sync feature provides you with the ability to easily
      setup and use the same Komodo settings on all the machines where
      you are running Komodo. You can now keep your toolbox items,
      preferences, keybindings, API catalogs, color schemes and
      templates in sync across all of your Komodo development environments.

    * *Stackato - Cloud Deployment (IDE)
      <http://www.activestate.com/komodo-ide/features#stackato>
      *Stackato is ActiveState's cloud hosting platform. Komodo provides
      tools that will allow you to easily configure, develop, manage and
      deploy applications to the cloud. This Stackato cloud platform is
      available for anyone to try <http://www.activestate.com/cloud> out.

    * *Node.js and More
      <http://www.activestate.com/komodo-ide/features#node.js>
      *Komodo IDE brings in debugging, code intelligence, editor and
      syntax checking support for Node applications. As well as this,
      Komodo 7 provides additional support for web and template
      languages like CoffeeScript, Less, SCSS, EJS and Mojolicious.

    * *Code Profiling (IDE)
      <http://www.activestate.com/komodo-ide/features#profiling>
      *With the ability to profile your application - you can now find
      out why that PHP or Python code is taking so long to run! Komodo
      shows a graphical representation of the methods and calls made by
      your program, as well as outlining the CPU time spent executing
      your code. Automatic time sorting makes it easy to see the code
      hot-spots at a single glance.

    * *Speed <http://www.activestate.com/komodo-ide/whats-new#performance>
      *With Komodo 7 you'll notice a lot snappier Komodo startup time,
      lower CPU utilization - particularly when idle, and lower memory
      usage for large projects. Additionally, tools like the fast-find
      bar make it even quicker to do the common things you use the most.

    * *Even more...*
      <http://docs.activestate.com/komodo/7.0/releases/ide.html>
      There are way more features in Komodo 7 than I can outline in a
      single post, so check out the full release notes
      <http://docs.activestate.com/komodo/7.0/releases/ide.html> to see
      other great enhancements, such as the new multi-language syntax
      checking, HTML end-tag completions, moveable side panes,
      searchable preferences, new color schemes and much more.

Please note that Komodo 6 users wanting to update will need to download
and install the Komodo 7 version - as there is no automatic updating
from version 6 to version 7. You can install both Komodo 6 and Komodo 7
on the same machine, and you can also run both versions at the same time.

Please ensure any Komodo 7 problems you experience get reported through
