Hello all,

We are pleased to tell you that Komodo 6.0 was released today! Make sure
you check out the new Komodo web pages and the great deals to be had on
upgrading and purchasing Komodo IDE 6 licenses:

The new features of Komodo 6 include:

  * Places - a smarter file system and project viewer
  * Publishing - to synchronize local and remote file systems (IDE)
  * Database Explorer - visualize database tables, run SQL queries (IDE)
  * Toolbox - refactored tool layout and a new invoke-tool helper
  * Python 3 supported - code intelligence, syntax checking, debugging
  * HTML5 and CSS3 - updated for the latest web technologies
  * Faster - common actions are now even faster than Komodo 5, wow!
  * Rx Toolkit - language-specific matching for Perl, PHP, Ruby, JS (IDE)

If your using 6.0.0 RC 1 then you can update using the 'Help -> Check
for Updates...' menu in Komodo, else you can get Komodo 6 through the
link below:

Please note that Komodo 5 users will need to download and install the
Komodo 6 version - as there is no automatic updating from version 5 to
version 6. You can install both Komodo 5 and Komodo 6 on the same
machine, and you can also run both of these versions at the same time.

For a detailed overview of the new Komodo 6 features, check out the
what's new and descriptive features pages:

As well as new features, Komodo 6 comes with a whole lot of enhancements
and bug fixes. See the "Release Notes" for the full list of changes:
