Nice probably need to add scrolling up down left right to make it more general purpose

Hi ted. Thanks for your interest on my code. I have just improved my code. You can add scrolling using this other recipe:

https://code.activestate.com/recipes/580640-scrolling-frame-with-mouse-wheel-support/

Copy my recipe to a file named "scrolling_area.py". This is a working example:

try:
    from Tkinter import Tk
except ImportError:
    from tkinter import Tk

from scrolling_area import Scrolling_Area

root = Tk()

scrolling_area = Scrolling_Area(root, height=300)
scrolling_area.pack()

table = Table(scrolling_area.innerFrame, ["columna A", "columna B", "columna C"], column_minwidths=[None, None, None])
table.pack(expand=True, fill=X)

table.on_change_data(scrolling_area.update_viewport)

data = []
for i in range(100):
    column = []
    data.append(column)

    for j in range(3):
        column.append(i*3 +j )

table.set_data(data)
root.mainloop()

Hi ted, I have just created an improved version with scrollbars. The header is fixed. This way is easier to know what is every column:

Hello Miguel Lopez

I wanted to say thank you. You help many users, including my humble self to extend and improve my python coding skills. Perhaps you will make at sometime to come a Python Tkinter Cookbook for O'Reilly? Ever thought about it? All the best wishes!
