In order to use this script you must make sure that the Microsoft Speech API 4.0 and the Microsoft synthetic voices are installed. Install "spchapi.exe" first, followed by "msttsl.exe" - the installation order is important!

Jump to http://sayzme.sourceforge.net to get the full application (and the ms speech files if needed).

Note, I am migrating from vb and this is my first Python script, so I am sure I've made mistakes and any feedback would be appreciated.

Nice, except... The main speech class is tied in with Tkinter. It's going to need some hacking to turn it into a general purpose speech engine that one can just call from any code.
