Welcome to the ulib-python library of generally useful python utilities created and maintained by the UberDev team.

The package is intended as a repository of various python utilities that don't fit nicely elsewhere and that appear to be commonly useful. Generally speaking, it will be a complete port of the C/C++ ulib library to python of components that don't already exist in python.

Currently, the following components are available:

ulib.email:

A general-purpose email manager to generate and send templatized emails. The templates are genshi-based (i.e. HTML), and support being multi-rendered to HTML and text, for general email client compatibility.

ulib.utest:

Some helper functions/classes to add a filesystem overlay (so that file I/O can be tested without actually modifying the underlying files) and adding of assertMuliLineEqual to pre-python-2.6 unit testing.

Please see the generated documents in the "doc" directory (for downloaded packages) or online at <http://uberdev.org/ulib-python/> for significantly more how-to documentation as well as an API reference.
