What is RunLens?
RunLens is an alternative for the application lens that is used in Ubuntu's Unity desktop to start applications.
RunLens doesn't show "Apps available for Download" and "Most Frequently used" sections. Instead it only lists installed applications sorted by relevancy to the search query.
In addition to the program's name and icon it shows a short description for every application.

Status
RunLens is early Alpha software. It seems to work usually but I expect it to have quite some bugs. Use it at your own risk.
If you find a bug in RunLens please report it at the bugtracker at Launchpad so that I can fix it. Thank you.
Requirements
RunLens is developed and tested on Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot"
RunLens needs the following packages from the software sources:
- python-gobject
- python-whoosh
If you install the .deb package this packages will be automatically installed if needed.
