An opinionated persistence framework for Python and MongoDB.

Mongolfiera is at a very early pre-alpha stage. Right now, not enough functionality is implemented for the framework to actually do any useful work.

Python and MongoDB support

Mongolfiera is developed under Python 2.7 and PyMongo 2.1.1.

Forward compatibility with Python 3 is a project goal, and will be addressed as soon as the base framework is stabilized.

Installing Mongolfiera

To install Mongolfiera, simply do:

pip install mongolfiera

Or, if you absolutely must (but you shouldn't):

easy_install mongolfiera

Testing Mongolfiera

Mongolfiera comes with a full test suite, and is indeed developed test-first.

You can run the tests using the provided setup.py:

python setup.py test

Mongolfiera uses nose and Mock for its tests. If you have all the required dependencies installed, you can also run the test suite like this:

nosetests

To install the dependencies:

pip install pymongo
pip install nose
pip install mock

License

Mongolfiera is released under the BSD license. See LICENSE for details.
