js.jquery_validate

Introduction

This library packages jQuery Validation Plugin for fanstatic.

This requires integration between your web framework and fanstatic, and making sure that the original resources (shipped in the resources directory in js.jquery_validate) are published to some URL.

CHANGES

1.11.0-1 (2013-03-18)
  • Some bugs in docs fixed.
1.11.0 (2013-03-17)
  • Initial release.

How to use?

This should be setup before rendering a page. See fanstatic for more information:

>>> from fanstatic import init_needed
>>> needed = init_needed(base_url='http://localhost')

You can import jquery_validate from js.jquery_validate and need it where you want these resources to be included on a page:

>>> from js.jquery_validate import jquery_validate
>>> jquery_validate.need()

Render the inclusion:

>>> print needed.render()
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://localhost/fanstatic/jquery/jquery.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://localhost/fanstatic/jquery-validate/jquery.validate.js"></script>
