Agreed, but ... which "beta feedback" are we talking about?
What I know (AFAIR, and I'd love to be corrected if I forgot) is:
* very few people seem to be actually testing or using 8.6
* no data about speed loss in a SPECIFIC app was registered. Either
not seen, or else tcl speed is not critical to those specific apps, or
else a slowdown was seen but not reported - hard to know.
* micro-benchmarks show a slowdown relative to 8.5, experiments are
being run that seem to indicate that NRE is the main culprit (which is
not a surprise, really)
