But, as far as I understand the code, that's not what is done in the 
TIP #442 patch. And (since I'm now aware that this patch is copied 
from ttk::label option spec), it's neither done that way in the label 
widget. For instance, the default for "foreground" is "black", and for 
-anchor it is "w".
