I'm now seeing the trunk of this new upstream diverge increasingly
from "official released SQLite + layout changes + a few config
settings". I see a cherrypicked bug fix from SQLite branch and other
independent bug fixes and feature changes along with some missteps and
corrections (we all make them!). Even more alarming, one of these
commits has gone onto the "sqlite" branch, which disrupts what I
understand to be its intent -- to be a "vendor branch" delivering the
stream of released changes from the original upstream.

This isn't what I'm looking for in an upstream, I think. Is this
what the Cygwin folks want? Tomorrow's bug fixes today! ? My
preference is to pass through bug fixes at the same time official
SQLite release does.

Can we resolve this with branches, or should I return to my own layout
fiddling?

For now, my intent is to stick with

http://cyqlite.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/sqlite/info/81f6155a52

as the source for the sqlite3.8.7 we bundle with Tcl 8.6.3.

Anyone wish to comment on that?
