[TCLCORE] Tcl/Tk 8.5.17 Release Candidates

RC0 release candidates for Tcl and Tk 8.5.17 are now posted at both

     ftp://ftp.tcl.tk/pub/tcl/tcl8_5/

and

    https://sourceforge.net/projects/tcl/files/Tcl/8.5.17/

This release fixes several serious I/O bugs that came into 8.5.16.
There are also a number of Mac OS X improvements in Tk.

My hope is to release Tcl/Tk 8.5.17 by the end of the week.

Let me know what troubles you have with these files that need
correcting.
